


The objective was to design a logo for Penn Valley Bank, whose mission is to create opportunities to make an impact, develop and grow, and be part of an inclusive culture where everyone is valued.
With this in mind, the logo represents growth by expanding a diamond shape in all directions, symbolizing money and progress. It aligns with the bank’s mission of creating opportunities and making an impact. Contrast is achieved by using both serif and sans-serif fonts, while repetition is evident in the repeated use of the same shape. The font choice conveys stability and firmness. A cool color scheme—green symbolizing finance and growth, and blue representing stability and peace—assures clients that they are in the right place for financial management.
Beyond the logo, I extended the design system across various brand touchpoints—from stationery and signage to digital platforms—creating a cohesive and professional brand identity that communicates security, simplicity, and progress. I won in the Logo Design (Student Category) of the AIGA PGH 365 Competition! This experience has been truly rewarding.
